new is i've been converted by a certain bello, to the land of pixels. i swore it'd never happen but i've just gone and wounded my bank account with an investment in a 350d. so far, i think i'll keep calling it an investment, can't quite get my head around the fact that there's no need to conserve film, i can just delete as i go, and how i like to delete! my aim is to have it all down pat before i leave in august for europe where hopefully i'll find plenty of things to point my lens at. my only problem is i love to photograph people, but i'm yet to read the rule book on pointing my lens at strangers. you never want anyone to pose but then to say just as you are is great could mean anything, more often than not, not as natural as they once were. i'm looking forward to my people posing dilemmas in foreign languages lol, it would be great to piss off an italian nonna in the cinque terra, love the expressions, god forbid a papa fettucinne though .........i'm on a countdown at the moment.....it stops around about the time my foot steps onto a japan airlines plane and i smile at an air hostess before i go and stare out of my miniscule window wondering about what i'm leaving behind. i don't like that everything is so in place and even that i've got mixed feelings about going, certainty would be great......perhaps a few more zeros in my bank account too lol..........that's it for me......time to get back to work *groan*.......xxoo, stephula
